The plank bench is made by gluing black alder blanks together with a special heat and moisture-resistant adhesive. Thanks to its thick structure, the plank bench can also be used with a longer span, allowing the bench frame to be designed without separate support structures.
Black alder is a good material choice for sauna benches, as it withstands temperature fluctuations without cracking. Black alder bench wood is knot-free and resin-free. It retains its dimensions and is highly resistant to moisture and heat. Black alder benches are very comfortable to sit on, as their surface does not get hot even in intense heat.
The popular black alder has a warm, reddish color and gives off a mild, authentic wood scent. If desired, black alder can be treated in the desired way, for example, with paraffin oil.
