Indescribable Löyly (Steam)
The Juup Iivari stone basket can hold approximately 45–55 kg of stones, depending on their size and material.
Due to its sturdy and durable construction, the sauna heater comes with a 10-year warranty for home use.
A New Generation
Designed and handcrafted in Finland. The Juup Iivari collection is the next generation after the Original, born from the genuine needs of our customers. Like its predecessor, the Juup Iivari offers versatile löyly, but it is better suited for medium-sized sauna rooms. The heater has a robust structure and will thus serve its sauna-goers for decades.
Iivari heaters come standard with a glass door. The walnut wood handles shown in the pictures are available at an additional cost.
Juup Iivari is the next generation after the Original, born from the genuine needs of our customers. The Juup Iivari has a very similar structure to its predecessor, but it is also better suited for smaller sauna rooms (9–18m³). Like its predecessor, the Iivari offers versatile löyly.

Versatile Löyly
We wanted to develop a sauna heater that provides the best and most versatile löyly possible. We have taken inspiration from the long, moist, and soft löyly of smoke saunas.
The 'secret' of smoke sauna löyly lies in how the stones are heated. The stones at the bottom get incredibly hot, while the surface stones remain relatively lukewarm throughout the sauna session. When water is poured onto the stones, it doesn't immediately vaporize from the surface stones but flows down to the bottom of the stone basket where vaporization occurs. As this steam travels through the cooler stones, a condensation process begins, which softens and moistens the löyly.
In Juup heaters, the stones are directly above the firebox in a "stone bowl." This way, the stones heat up quickly, and every single drop of water vaporizes into the sauna. The stones at the bottom heat up first and stay hot throughout the sauna session, just like in a smoke sauna.
The stones on the surface of the stone bowl heat up slowly, which allows for different types of löyly during the sauna session. The water that does not vaporize upon contact with the hot stones flows down to the bottom of the bowl and gradually vaporizes. This results in soft, moist, and long-lasting löyly.
By adjusting the heater's temperature and the amount of water, you can create exactly the kind of löyly you prefer. Crisp löyly is achieved by frequently throwing small amounts of water onto the hot stones at the edges. If you prefer soft and moist löyly, you can pour a larger amount of water onto the cooler stones. This creates a steam-sauna-like löyly.
Warranty
The heater body and firebox are constructed from 3mm carbon steel, and the firebox has only one welded seam. This ensures that the heater lasts from generation to generation. Original heaters, built by Gösta Juuppi in the 1960s, are still in use today.
Due to its robust and durable construction, we grant the heater a 10-year warranty for home use.
