Our Roots aspen panel celebrates what others might hide: it is made from Finnish aspen, specifically the knotty part of the trunk, which is a byproduct of our knot-free premium production. Each panel tells a story of Finnish forests with its unique grain patterns and natural knots.
From forest to finished product – entirely in Pieksämäki: The Roots aspen panel is sawn from Finnish aspen at our own sawmill in Pieksämäki, the heart of Savo. After sawing, the timber is planed to a 15×120 mm STS 2 profile. The product is entirely of A-grade quality in all other respects, but it contains natural knots.
