For heaters:
Tulikivi sauna heaters use split-faced Tulikivi sauna stones. Sauna stones under 10 cm in size are suitable for electric heaters, and stones over 10 cm are suitable for wood-burning heaters. The sauna stones should be stacked loosely in the heater to allow air to circulate between them. Careful stone arrangement also extends the lifespan of the heater's heating elements.
White, rounded Tulikivi Deco White decorative sauna stones or sawn, classic grey soapstone sauna stones can be used as surface stones on top of the split-faced sauna stones. Thanks to soapstone's heat retention capacity, soapstone sauna stones provide a very soft and pleasant steam. The use of ceramic sauna stones in Tulikivi heaters is prohibited.
ARRANGING SAUNA STONES
Electric heaters use olivine diabase stones under 10 cm in size. The use of ceramic stones is prohibited. If decorative stones supplied by Tulikivi are used in the heater, they should be placed on top of the other sauna stones in the heater so that they do not obstruct the airflow through the heater and do not touch the heating elements.
