Description

Original's efficiency, Iivari's excellent steam properties

Gösta is designed for saunas of 15–40 m³ and combines Original's efficiency with Iivari's excellent steam properties. The total efficiency of the stove is over 73%.

Balanced stone quantity and heating power

The Juup Gösta's stone chamber can hold approximately 45–55 kg of stones, depending on their size and material. The amount of stones is precisely dimensioned to match the stove's heating power, so the stove can keep the stones constantly hot – even if steam is thrown more often.

Versatile and long-lasting steam

The stone chamber of Gösta is located directly above the firebox in a stone pot. This ensures rapid heating of the stones and that every drop of water for the steam evaporates efficiently. Some of the water flows down to the bottom of the pot and gradually evaporates, producing moist, soft, and long-lasting steam. By adjusting the temperature of the stove and the amount of water, everyone can find their preferred sauna experience.

 Versatile Steam

We wanted to develop a stove that provides the best and most versatile steam possible. Our inspiration has been the long, moist, and soft steam of traditional smoke saunas.

The 'secret' of smoke sauna steam lies in how the stones are heated. The stones at the bottom get incredibly hot, while the surface stones remain relatively cool throughout the sauna session. When water is thrown on the stones, it doesn't evaporate immediately from the surface stones but flows down to the bottom of the stone chamber where evaporation occurs. As this steam travels through the cooler stones, a condensation process begins, softening and moisturizing the steam.

In Juup stoves, the stones are located directly above the firebox in a "stone bowl." This ensures that the stones heat up quickly and that every drop of water for steam evaporates into the sauna. The stones at the bottom heat up first and remain hot throughout the sauna session, just like in a smoke sauna.

The stones on the surface of the stone pot heat up slowly, which allows for different types of steam during the sauna session. The water that doesn't evaporate upon contact with the hot stones flows down to the bottom of the bowl and gradually evaporates. This results in soft, moist, and long-lasting steam.

By adjusting the stove's temperature and the amount of water, you can create exactly the kind of steam you prefer. Crisp steam is created by frequently throwing small amounts of water on the hot stones at the edges. If you prefer soft and moist steam, you can pour a larger amount of water onto the cooler stones. This produces a steam-bath-like experience.

Finnish craftsmanship

Each Juup artisan stove is unique and manufactured in Finland. To guarantee quality and durability, the same person builds the stove from start to finish. Each stove has a nameplate indicating the model name, serial number, and the builder's name. Juup Gösta has been awarded the Key Flag symbol by the Association for Finnish Work, which signifies Finnish manufacture and employment.

Warranty

The sauna stove body and firebox are constructed from 3mm carbon steel, and the firebox has only one weld seam. This ensures the stove lasts from generation to generation. Original stoves built by Gösta Juuppi in the 1960s are still in use today.

Due to its robust and durable construction, we provide a 10-year warranty for the stove in home use.
