Description
The power of Original, the steam characteristics of Iivari

The Gösta -Braided is equipped with a larger, netted stone compartment. This creates even softer and longer-lasting steam. The stone net and basin can hold approximately 75-85kg of stones, depending on their size and material.

Versatile Steam
The Gösta can hold approximately 75-85kg of stones directly above the firebox in the stone basin, allowing them to heat up quickly and every drop of ladle water to vaporize into the sauna. Water that does not vaporize upon contact with hot stones flows down to the bottom of the basin and gradually vaporizes. This results in moist, soft, and long-lasting steam. By adjusting the heater's temperature and the amount of water, pleasant steam can be created for everyone.

Finnish Craftsmanship
Every Juup artisan stove is unique. To ensure uncompromising quality and durability for decades, one and the same person manufactures the stove from start to finish. Each stove has a nameplate indicating the stove's model, serial number, and the builder's name. The stove has been awarded the Key Flag symbol by the Association for Finnish Work. The Key Flag is a registered collective mark and guarantees that the product is manufactured in Finland and provides employment in Finland.

Versatile Steam

We wanted to develop a stove that provides the best and most versatile steam possible. We have taken inspiration from the long, moist, and soft steam of smoke saunas.

The 'secret' to smoke sauna steam lies in how the stones are heated. The stones at the bottom get incredibly hot, while the surface stones remain relatively cool throughout the sauna session. When ladle water is poured onto the stones, it doesn't immediately vaporize from the surface stones but flows down to the bottom of the stone compartment where vaporization occurs. As this steam travels through the cooler stones, a condensation process begins that softens and moistens the steam.

In Juup stoves, the stones are directly above the firebox in a "stone basin". This allows the stones to heat up quickly and every drop of ladle water to vaporize into the sauna. The stones at the bottom heat up first and remain hot throughout the sauna session, just like in a smoke sauna.

The stones on the surface of the stone basin heat up slowly, which enables different types of steam to be created during the sauna session. Any water that does not vaporize upon contact with the hot stones flows down to the bottom of the basin and gradually vaporizes. This results in soft, moist, and long-lasting steam.

By adjusting the stove's temperature and the amount of water, you can create the exact kind of steam you prefer. Crisp steam is produced by throwing small amounts of water frequently onto the hot stones at the edges. If you prefer soft and moist steam, you can pour a larger amount of water onto the cooler stones. This creates steam bath-like steam.

Warranty

The stove frame and firebox are constructed from 3mm carbon steel, and the firebox has only one weld seam. This ensures the stove lasts for generations. Original stoves built by Gösta Juuppi in the 1960s are still in use today.

Due to its robust and durable construction, we grant a 10-year warranty for home use.
