Tulikivi Smoke Sauna Heater KSSK1000
The outer shell of this double-walled, heat-retaining and through-colored smoke sauna heater, made from Celsius mass, fits perfectly with the smoke sauna style. If desired, the surface can also be coated with Kermansavi oven coatings.
A separate thermal lid is also available for this product. The thermal lid keeps the heater warm longer, significantly extending the sauna bathing time.

Heating
Heating time is about 2.5 to 3 hours. For firewood, dry alder logs approximately 0.5 m long are recommended, as they provide the best aromas and little soot.
Fire safety
Before installing the heater, fire safety must be ensured, as traditional smoke saunas are highly flammable. The foundation of the heater must be non-combustible, level, and sufficiently strong. Walls near the heater must be properly fire-protected. The best fire protection is a brick and plastered fire wall 12-15 cm thick. The ceiling also requires at least double fire protection over a significantly larger area than the heater. Some recommended fire protection structures are shown on pages 2-3 of the installation drawings.
The safe distance to an unprotected wall is over one meter, so in practice, a sauna of the recommended size for the heater must have protective structures.
Due to fire risk, the opening of a smoke sauna heater should never be placed outside the sauna, as when heating from outside, especially an inexperienced heater operator, may fail to monitor the actual internal temperature development and other conditions of the sauna.
The ceiling protection must be done with particular care, as the gas temperature above the heater can momentarily exceed 700 degrees. Therefore, it is important to ensure the tightness and insulation of the seam between the wall and ceiling fire protection as the log building moves and settles. Also, note the sufficient extent of the ceiling protection, especially in the direction of the vent (500 mm elsewhere, 700-800 mm in the direction of the vent).
