Indescribable Sauna Experience

The upper part of the stove is a mesh, so water can be poured onto the edges of the stone compartment.

New Generation

Designed and handcrafted in Finland. The Juup Iivari collection is the next generation after the Original, born from the genuine needs of our customers. Like its predecessor, the Juup Iivari offers versatile steam, but it is better suited for medium-sized sauna rooms.

The stove is robustly built and will serve its owner for decades.

Iivari stoves come standard with a glass door. The walnut wood handles shown in the pictures are available at an additional cost.

The Juup Iivari Punos is equipped with a larger stone compartment than the basic Iivari model. It can hold approximately 75–85 kg of stones, depending on their size and material. Punos therefore provides a longer-lasting steam and retains heat better than the basic Iivari model, but the heating time is naturally also slightly longer.

A Finnish sauna innovation designed, developed, and built by sauna enthusiasts. For three generations.

The easy-to-use and CE-marked stove heats up quickly, using less wood than traditional wood-fired stoves.

The efficient stove produces fewer emissions, and according to studies*, the Juup Iivari stove's carbon monoxide emissions are only 0.15%**, which is among the lowest values on the market.

The Juup Iivari stove has an efficiency of over 68% and is suitable for saunas of 9 m³ and larger.

Versatile steam

We wanted to develop a stove that provides the best and most versatile steam possible. Our inspiration has been the long, moist, and soft steam of smoke saunas.

The 'secret' to smoke sauna steam lies in how the stones are heated. The stones at the bottom get incredibly hot, while the surface stones remain relatively cool throughout the sauna session. When water is poured onto the stones, it doesn't immediately evaporate from the surface stones but flows down to the bottom of the stone compartment where vaporization occurs. As this steam travels through the cooler stones, a condensation process begins that softens and moisturizes the steam.

In Juup stoves, the stones are directly above the firebox in a "stone bowl." This way, the stones heat up quickly, and every drop of water evaporates into the sauna. The bottom stones heat up first and stay hot throughout the sauna, just like in a smoke sauna.

The stones on the surface of the stone bowl heat up slowly, allowing for different types of steam to be created during the sauna session. Any water that does not evaporate upon contact with hot stones flows down to the bottom of the bowl and gradually evaporates. This results in soft, moist, and long-lasting steam.

By adjusting the stove's temperature and the amount of water, you can create exactly the kind of steam you prefer. Crisp steam is produced by frequently throwing small amounts of water onto the hot stones at the edges. If you prefer soft and moist steam, you can pour a larger amount of water onto the cooler stones. This creates a steam bath-like experience.
