Aitokiuas
is a classic single-heating sauna stove that respects Finnish sauna traditions. Since the 1950s, Aitokiuas has been an iconic stove for heating Finnish saunas. A single-heating stove offers the softest possible steam for a long-lasting and peaceful sauna experience.
Aitokiuas is a single-heating classic stove that honors Finnish sauna traditions. This means that the fire burning in the firebox is in direct contact with the sauna stones, and the smoke from the fire is led out through the flue. After heating, the stones glow red hot. The insulated stove retains heat inside for a long time, and the stove is no longer heated when enjoying the sauna in the steam room. The temperature of the sauna is adjusted by opening or closing the steam vent, either releasing heat into the room or storing it in the stove. The massive amount of stones enables exactly the desired, oxygen-rich steam, which is easy to regulate.
The stove casing is insulated, and the insulation material is protected by an inner casing made of stainless steel. The firebox consists of elements cast from fire-resistant mass. The stone compartment is lined with firebrick. The stove door, grate, and inner lid are made of cast iron. The stove is delivered as ready-to-assemble parts, which are assembled at the stove's placement site. No mortar or other drying materials are needed. The Aitokiuas delivery includes a 60° connecting flue.
Aitokiuas is delivered without stones.
Ceramic sauna stones are very durable, and in addition, they heat up slightly faster than natural stone. Natural stone needs to be replaced more frequently than ceramic stone. Natural stone heats up slightly slower, but it retains heat longer.
Aitokiuas has accessories and many spare parts. The stove heats the floor more than continuously heated stoves, which is why a round installation base sized for the stove is recommended, especially if there is a waterproof membrane under the tiling. Narvi fireplace flue fits Aitokiuas when the flue penetration is straight upwards. The stove can also be heated from outside the steam room, in which case the firebox door is extended with a so-called tunnel section.
